The Mustang II was available in four models, ranging
from the 2-door hardtop at $2,895 to the 3-door Mach 1 at $3,518. The
2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine was standard, and the Mach 1 came with the
2.8 liter V-6. |

Pinto, America's best selling compact, was available
in three body styles: the 2-door sedan ($2,292), the Runabout ($2,418)
and the Station Wagon ($2,543). An AM radio was a $59 option. |

Maverick came in three models: a 2-door sedan
($2,441), a 4-door sedan ($2,476), and the Grabber 2-door Sport Sedan
($2,620). The Grabber pictured here has an optional vinyl roof and
high-back bucket seats. |

Torino had room for six adults combined with the
handling ease of a mid-size! Ten models were offered, ranging from the
Torino 4-door Pillared Hardtop at $2,811 to the Gran Torino Squire,
pictured here, at $3,936. |

Ford offered steel belted radial-ply tires as
standard equipment on the LTD and LTD Brougham models. The Custom 500
4-door Pillared Sedan was the value leader at $3,623. Thirteen other
models were offered, all the way up to the LTD Country Squire Wagon at
$4,615. The 351 cubic inch V-8 was standard. |

Thunderbird retained its classic look for 1974, and
added SelectAire Conditioner, the 460-cubic inch V-8, and solid state
ignition as standard equipment. Base price was $6,542. Quick-Defrost
windshield and rear window was an extra $303. |

Capri offered European style and performance. A
2000-cc V-6 was standard equipment. The base price was $3,566. The
2800-cc V-6 cost $241 extra. |

Comet came in two models: a 2-door sedan at $2,496
and a 4-door sedan at $2,531. The 200-cubic inch 6-cylinder engine was
standard; the 250-cubic inch 6 and the 302-cubic inch V-8 were optional.
The 2-door offered a GT package. |

Cougar for '74 was longer, sleeker, and had a wider
stance. Base price was $4,301 for the XR-7 with standard 351-cubic inch
V-8. The 460 V-8 was one of the engine options ($243), Glamour Paint
cost $38. |

Montego came in three series (Montego, Montego MX,
and Montego MX Brougham) and 8 models. The Villager wagon was the
Flagship car at $3,942. The MX Brougham 4-door Pillared Hardtop is shown

Mercury offered more luxurious interiors, a freshened
look, and a more solid ride for 1974. There were 13 models in 4 series:
Monterey, Monterey Custom, Marquis, and Marquis Brougham. Prices ranged
from $4,063 to $5,294. |

Lincoln Continental sported a new vertical-bar
die-cast grille and new wrap-around tail lamps. Four models were
offered: 2-door Coupe, 4-door sedan, 2-door Town Coupe, and 4-door Town
Sedan. Optional Media Velour seat trim provided a new more luxurious
Lincoln interior. |

Continental Mark IV had numerous sound deadening
refinements as well as a new rear appearance. At $9,198, most comfort
and convenience items were standard. The Silver Luxury Group (shown
here) cost an extra $400. |
