Having hunted ducks and pheasants here since the opening of the season, the party planned to leave the local airport Sunday night but the poor visibility prevented the Mid-Continent Airlines plane from landing.

Yesterday, Gable told a reporter over the telephone that they would leave by car for Sioux Falls and catch the plane from there back to California.

However their plans were changed and they left early yesterday afternoon by car. Clark was at the wheel when they left the home of Dr. and Mrs. E. W. Harper, 802 First Street NW, where they have been house guests.

Dr. Harper said that the party planned at first to go to Omaha. However reports have been received here of their stopping at Pierre and Rapid City.

Dr. Harper said this morning that he advised them to visit the Black Hills. However he said he did not know which direction the party had gone when they left Watertown. He did say that Carole and Clark were still on their vacation and did not plan to hurry back to the coast. (end of article)
