1931 was the last year for the Model "A". The "A" was manufactured from 1928 through 1931. It was preceded by the Model T, and was followed by the Model B. I guess Henry had his own alphabet.  The "A" had electric start (with a crank for those hardy folks who wanted to show off), 6 Volt electrical system (lights, horn, and ignition).

Mechanical brakes with drums both front and back. The roadster had no windows (only a set of side curtains that almost kept the rain and cold out) and it was really cold and wet in the rumble seat!! There was no "standard" heater but one could purchase a device that mounted on the manifold with a "trumpet" like funnel that funneled hot air back to the cab if you cut a hole in the cowl. The "A" was a very reliable and sturdy vehicle. The engines were used during WWII in Japan to power water pumps etc. Quite often, owners of an "A" would remove a rear wheel and affix a pulley and drive numerous and sundry devices (Logging Saws, Feed Grinders, Thrashing Machines etc.).
